Robby nearly said, “Yes indeed my old friend. You missed me laying the groundwork before laying the pipe in your wife and waking the dead.” But that might’ve pushed things too far and wrecked the chances of doing just that with her.

I just hope he doesn't take the cheap way out, and go for "muffin." I would, however, accept "muffuletta".
